IMU’S Admissions Process

Iyanola Medical University School of Nursing is thrilled that you’re considering us for your nursing training program. At IMU a team of dedicated faculty and staff awaits to help you thrive in University and in Life. Our first step is to guide you through the admissions process.

How to Apply Online

  1. Complete the following Application form:

  2. Pay USD $75.00 -> (Locals), $100.00 -> (Regional), and $150.00 -> (International), before completing the application form. Please note that all payments are Non-Refundable. (You will receive confirmation of payment and application when received.) Pay Here.
  3. Submit all requirements, such as official high school transcripts, two (2) Professional References (from educational institution or employer), one (1) personal character reference. The Reference Form can be downloaded below:

  4. Interview.
  5. Admission Examination. (Entrance Assessment)
Note: Before continuing, please be aware that applications and their accompanying fees are Non-Refundable and will be valid for one year, after which individuals must re-apply and pay the relevant fees.

Rolling Admissions

IMU accepts a limited number of applications, per trimester. However, we do consider applications on a rolling basis, this enables IMU to give perspective students an admission decision within a few weeks of the university receiving complete application materials.

With a focus on promoting university access and equality in the admissions review process, Iyanola Medical University School of Nursing conducts a holistic review of each applicant. Our philosophy is to look beyond grade-point averages and test scores to understand the achievements and influences that have contributed to each student’s journey. This approach allows IMU to make a fair and informed admissions decision for each student.

To be considered for (Spring) May-August 2025:
  • Applications must be received before or by February 3rd, 2025.
  • Admitted students must pay the full tuition amount of $2,200.00 USD before or by March 14th, 2025 to reserve their placement. This payment is required to secure enrollment in the entering class.
To be considered for (Fall) September-December 2025:
  • Applications must be received before or by June 2nd, 2025.
  • Admitted students must pay the full tuition amount of $2,200.00 USD before or by July 14th, 2025. to reserve their placement. This payment is required to secure enrollment in the entering class.
To be considered for (Winter) January-April 2026:
  • Application must be received before or by October 2nd, 2025.
  • Admitted students must pay the full tuition amount of $2,200.00 USD before or by November 14th, 2025. to reserve their placement. This payment is required to secure enrollment in the entering class.
To be considered for (Fall) September-December 2024:
  • Application must be received before or by June 1st, 2024.
  • Admitted students must pay the full tuition amount of $2,200.00 USD before or by August 5th, 2024 to reserve their placement. This payment is required to secure enrollment in the entering class.
To be considered for (Winter) January-April 2025:
  • Application must be received before or by October 2nd, 2024.
  • Admitted students must pay the full tuition amount of $2,200.00 USD before or by November 13th, 2024 to reserve their placement. This payment is required to secure enrollment in the entering class.
Note: The reservation payment method mentioned applies exclusively to new student admissions. Current students are advised to use one of the available payment options listed on the local, regional, or international payment pages, depending on their location. We appreciate your cooperation.
To be considered for (Spring) May-August 2025:
  • Applications must be received before or by February 3rd, 2025.
  • Admitted students must pay the full tuition amount of $2,900.00 USD before or by March 14th, 2025 to reserve their placement. This payment is required to secure enrollment in the entering class.
To be considered for (Fall) September-December 2025:
  • Applications must be received before or by June 2nd, 2025.
  • Admitted students must pay the full tuition amount of $2,900.00 USD before or by July 14th, 2025 to reserve their placement. This payment is required to secure enrollment in the entering class.
Note: The reservation payment method mentioned applies exclusively to new student admissions. Current students are advised to use one of the available payment options listed on the local, regional, or international payment pages, depending on their location. We appreciate your cooperation.
To be considered for (Fall) September-December 2024:
  • Application must be received before or by June 1st, 2024.
  • Admitted students should declare their intent to enroll in the entering class by forwarding a tuition deposit of $1,000.00 USD to the Office of Admissions before or by July 14th, 2024 to reserve placement. This deposit will be applied directly to the first tuition bill.
  • To attend classes, the remaining payment $1,900.00 USD is due before or by August 5th, 2024.
To be considered for (Winter) January-April 2025:
  • Application must be received before or by October 2nd, 2024.
  • Admitted students must pay the full tuition amount of $2,900.00 USD before or by November 13th, 2024 to reserve their placement. This payment is required to secure enrollment in the entering class.
To be considered for (Winter) January-April 2026:
  • Application must be received before or by October 2nd, 2025.
  • Admitted students must pay the full tuition amount of $2,900.00 USD before or by November 14th, 2025 to reserve their placement. This payment is required to secure enrollment in the entering class.
To be considered for (Spring) May-August 2025:
  • Applications must be received before or by February 3rd, 2025.
  • Admitted students must pay the full tuition amount of $3,900.00 USD before or by March 14th, 2025 to reserve their placement. This payment is required to secure enrollment in the entering class.
To be considered for (Fall) September-December 2025:
  • Applications must be received before or by June 2nd, 2025.
  • Admitted students must pay the full tuition amount of $3,900.00 USD before or by July 14th, 2025 to reserve their placement. This payment is required to secure enrollment in the entering class.

To be considered for (Winter) January-April 2026:
  • Application must be received before or by October 2nd, 2025.
  • Admitted students must pay the full tuition amount of $3,900.00 USD before or by November 14th, 2025 to reserve their placement. This payment is required to secure enrollment in the entering class.

Payment Options

  • Online via PayPal, Visa, Mastercard or other major credit/debit cards.
  • In person via IMU’s bank account.
  • Wire transfers to IMU’s bank account.
Additional discounts:
  • Non-Refundable Application fee reduced from $150 USD to $75.00 USDfor Locals.
  • Payments received on a trimester basis receive zero discount.
  • Payments received one year in advance (3 trimesters) receive five percent (5%) discount.
  • Payments received two years in advance (6 trimesters) receive ten percent (10%) discount.
  • Payments received three years in advance (9 trimesters) receive twenty percent (20%) discount.

Admission Requirements

All high school students applying for admission to Iyanola Medical University School of Nursing must have completed at least the following course requirements* before enrollment:

  • English
  • Mathematics (Algebra)
  • Science (Biology, Chemistry)
  • Personal Statement
  • In person interview
  • Criminal record clearance (police record)
  • Admission test
  • Physician’s certificate of physical and mental fitness

Note - If you have not taken these courses, you may still qualify for admission. An admissions counselor will work directly with you to request additional information for admissions consideration and ensure you are prepared for university work.

Requirements will also depend on where student is applying from:

Caribbean Region.
  • 5 CXC’s grades 1, 2,or 3. GCE A, B, C or equivalent.
United Kingdom Region.
  • 112-128 UCAS tariff points.
  • Highest scores of 3 A levels and 2 O levels
United States Region.
  • SAT-1300 or above.
  • ACT-25 or above.
All other International Regions will be considered on a case by case basis.

Applications

One of a kind accelerated nursing program being offered in Saint Lucia - complete your 4-year BSN training in 3 years.

Applications are accepted on a continual basis, and are processed throughout the year, however prospective students are to bear in mind the deadlines below.

Complete applications with respective fees must be received by our admissions department within the following guidelines dates:

  • Winter Trimester - January enrollment
    Apply before or by October 2nd, 2024
  • Spring Trimester - January enrollment
    Apply before or by Februray 3rd, 2025
  • Fall Trimester - September enrollment
    Apply before or by June 2nd, 2025

All applications received after the deadline will be automatically processed for the following trimester.
